Custom-made Postage without an Internet Connection

Custom made postage is so easy to make when you have an internet connection. You just choose an image on your computer and upload it to an online company that walks you through the process of creating stamps. You can move the image around, rotate it, flip it, select the color of border you want, and play with it until it’s just perfect. You easily place an order and you’re done. They arrive by mail a few days later.

But what if you aren’t online? There are still many people who don’t have internet connections. They may not use the internet at all… Or they may just use it now and then.

If you are reading this, you are online… obviously! But it could be at a public library or cybercafe, at a friend’s or family member’s house. If you would like to make some custom made postage but don’t have an online connection at home, you’d need to use a library computer or one at someone else’s home. You would need to have a way of putting your image onto their computer from yours: this could be a CD, a portable memory unit, or even a floppy disk if you and the other person both have older computers that use them.

You would also need to have a credit card to pay for your custom made postage. Paying online at these companies is secure, but personally I would be cautious about using a credit card on a public computer such as at an internet cafe or library one. Just go to the home of someone you trust.

Perhaps you have an internet connection and came across this site and now you are thinking of friends who aren’t online but might love to create some PhotoStamp®. Probably the best thing is to offer to give them access to your computer. I did look around the websites of some of the companies that supply the postage, but I didn’t noticeany way to order by mail.

So in a nutshell, whatever hurdles may need to be overcome won’t be that great, and anyone can create custom made postage.
