Five Fun Ways to Use Custom Postage
Custom postage can be used in many ways. It is great for displaying your family, for presenting your pets, for using on gifts or at holiday time, for showcasing your nature or travel photography, or for scrapbooking or other artistic projects that include them. Let’s look at each of these ideas:
1. You can use custom postage as a great way to show distant friends and family how your kids are growing up. From birth announcements to college graduations, with vacations or sports events in between, there are many times when you are likely to be taking pictures anyway! No problem, show off friends or others who are important to you. Like our next category…
2. Pets: What’s cuter than one of your pets? Well, maybe your baby, but we’ll assume you’ve already done that! Fellow animal lovers (and we are everywhere) will greatly enjoy seeing your pet on a custom postage stamp. Here’s my Sunbeam, with her favorite teddy bear.
3. When you’re mailing a present, including some special custom postage makes the gift-giving begin the moment the package arrives! Of course, holidays offer their own opportunities. If you weren’t sure whether you were going to get around to mailing out Christmas cards or holiday newsletters, maybe a holiday-style PhotoStamp® of your own design would be so much fun that it would get you motivated! Of course, another gift idea is to give the custom postage itself.
4. You can showcase your own photography on custom postage. Even though they are small, stamps show details nicely. Nature shots could include sunsets or waterfalls, any photo that you are specially proud of. Travel you may have done offers other possibilities too. If you want, you can even offer your custom postage for sale to others, via Cafepress, for instance.
5. If you do any scrapbooking, custom made stamps could be used in a design. If you do collage, they would also fit in nicely there. And if you don’t do anything of the sort, you could still end up with them on your walls if you simply framed them.
It’s easy to get started with custom postage! You may find that you are using the mail more, and that will bring pleasure to others.
